When a user arrives from a paid social or search ad on mobile, the link should carry campaign context through any app store redirect, ensuring that post-install attribution correctly credits the originating channel. This single change routinely reallocates significant budget credit from direct and organic to paid channels—not because performance has changed, but because measurement has.
Cross-device session stitching is the most technically complex layer, requiring integration between your deep linking provider and your identity resolution or customer data platform. When a user authenticates on one device after engaging anonymously on another, historical session data should be retroactively associated with the identified profile. Most enterprise CDP platforms support this merge event; the prerequisite is that pre-authentication sessions carry enough structured context to enable it.
